The AD Home Design Show
By danielle
The calendar-girls hit the show yesterday and saw lots of our favorite friends (Hi Troy!!). Overall, the scene was rather civilized and is getting better every year. To cap it off, there was a convenient coat check near the entrance, perfect for our bulky down North Faces.
Some observations:
* Kudos to DouglasHomer for their funky press kit packaging
* Loved the Shoji screens and the super comfy chair propping the booth (Bamboo Modern)
* Parents-to-be take note, DucDuc has the all the right ideas – eco, flexible designs that will make child-proofing a home hip
* Couldn’t get enough of those Tom Dixon lights at the entrance
* Clever signage BDDW! We wanted to grab a piece of chalk ourselves and let everyone else know how much we loved the booth.
* Shout out to DESU Design, Pryor & Williams and the other Brooklyn-based exhibitors. Can’t wait to see more goods at BKLYN DESIGNS.

I thought the show was great this year. I found a lot of new sources. It was worth the trip to the West Side!
Yea…the BDDW booth really rocked! I couldn’t make it to the Opening Night Party but heard it was fun. I’d love to hear more from someone who attended.
Check out these fun new pix from the event!
