We hopped a cab to W 19th street to get a look at the best in sustainable design and let’s just say it was haute (with a capital H)! Props to Kimberly Oliver, Bart Bettencourt and Rebecca Silver for putting together one heck of an exhibition. The party was so “haute” the line to get in wrapped around the corner and people just didn’t want to leave when the lights flickered at the end of the night. We’re proud to say we opened and yes closed the party.
Thank you Bart Bettencourt, co-organizer of HauteGREEN and president of Bettencourt Green Building Supplies for your continued commitment to sustainable design.
The curated exhibition featured over 70 eco-friendly pieces, selected from a pool of 241 submissions from across the US and 20 other countries around the world.

Although this may look like the photo taken of some of the Uhuru team during the DWR party – look closer – this time the crew is enjoying their favorite local brew – Brooklyn Lager. The design+build furniture company, who uses materials that have been reclaimed, recycled, repurposed and reused, was selected to display not 1, not 2, but 3 new pieces of work.
