NeoCon Report

We walked the stairs (because as all you other attendees know the line for the elevators was outrageous) to find our three favorites “P’s” – parties, products and people. Here are some of the highlights:

Seeing industrial designer Ross Lovegrove in his dapper white couture suit. He was commissioned by Knoll to design the Ross Lovegrove Collection, a new line of tables and storage units which debuted at the show.

The Steelcase party – if you are ever looking for a clever way to spread the word out about a bash – take some notes from Steelcase. Their 5-man group of break-dancers went floor to floor of the mart getting all sorts of attention from the crowd. They showed off some acrobatic skills, handed out invitations and set the mood for a festive night.

Designtex launched their fabulous new showroom on the 3rd floor of the mart.

New York-based Maharam launched their exclusive, international partnership with Danish-based Kvadrat.

Just a few hours after getting off the plane, we were enjoying delightful drinks and hors d’oeuvres with our fabulous friends at Interior Design on the lobby floor of the Winter Garden in Chi-town. The urban space was designed by Powell/Kleinschmidt Interior Architects and was featured in the March issue of the magazine.
