The holidays may be over and spring is far away—but Design-Calendar is looking forward to the New York International Gift Fair. An industry staple, the NYIGF showcases the newest and greatest in the gift market with thousands of hand-picked exhibitors. We can’t resist the opportunity to peruse the exhibitions this year, housed in the Javits Center and Piers 90, 92, and 94, from Sunday, January 25 until Thursday January 29.

As if this isn’t enough, the NYIGF has been expanded and refined this winter to allow for the most successful show yet. Juried divisions such as Studio™ reveal the trendiest and most inventive merchandise while Accent on Design® serves as a platform for new designers and their original goods. Look out for the expansion to divisions such as EX·TRACTS® that offers personal care items and renovations in the divisions At Home and General Gift. Be sure to take note of the new Designer Maker designation that allows for attendees to easily identify artisans from production craft. And when you’re done browsing? Attend seminars by industry leaders, networking events in the city, dine stylishly (yet economically: its Restaurant Week!), or visit New York’s Museum of Art and Design admission-free courtesy of the NY Market.

But wait – there’s more!  Complimentary shuttles will take you to 7W New York, 41 Madison and 230 Fifth for additional buying fun.
