After closing its doors to the public more than 40 years ago, we’re happy to report the recent re-opening of the sunshine state’s legendary Fox Oakland Theater. Honoring the group responsible for reviving the neighborhood as well as a historic landmark, the Northern California chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) will pay homage to the Friends of the Oakland Fox as “Pioneers in Design” as well as a selection of local interior design icons. Don’t miss this event on March 25th from 5:30 to 9:00PM as hundreds of Bay Area designers converge in the new space to celebrate local excellence in design. Winners of the Honor Awards will be chosen from a bevy of projects in one of six categories including: Live, Work, Play, Shop, Serve, and Give. Tickets are $25 for students, $50 for IIDA members and $75 for non-members.
