Best of NeoCon® 2009

It’s mid-June and you know what that means!!!  Three days of waiting 10-20 minutes to catch an elevator, hoping you are on one that brings you to the correct floor of the Merchandise Mart, and finally hiking all the way down the stairs to get to a party or client dinner.  Yes… you guessed it… it’s NeoCon!  All kidding aside, it is one of the key shows for the contract market and we always look forward to learning what’s new in the industry.

This year, seventy-four awards were selected in the Best of NeoCon® 2009 competition. Plus, five Innovation Awards and a Best of Competition Award were also given out.  Since we can’t write about all the winners, we’ve decided to focus on a few…
The Technology Support category took the top prize as the Best of Competition with Powermat, manufactured by Powermat.  Powermat is an innovative new system that eliminates the need for multiple chargers, power supplies, converters, and power sockets. It is the company’s first product line that wirelessly charges multiple hand-held devices concurrently: perfect for home, office and travel usage.  And techies, although it is not on sale yet, you can sign up on the web to receive notifications about when and where it will be available.
For the Innovation Awards, the following Manufacturer/Product won top honors:
