The winners of the AIA NY chapter’s second annual New Practices, New York were announced this time last year. The competition’s aim was to “recognize and promote new, innovative and emerging architecture firms within New York City that have undertaken unique and commendable strategies – both in the projects they undertake and the practices they have established.” As a follow-up to this successful initiative, the 2008 grand prize winner will present a seminar in the Häfele New York Showroom.  This Thursday, Joe MacDonald, principal of the architectural firm Urban A&O will discuss “The Agency of Contraints.”   Among other projects, the firm is responsible for the design of the main entrance to the Johnson & Johnson Olympic Games Pavilion in Beijing.

The reception begins at 6:00pm and the lecture starts at 6:30pm. Click here to RSVP.
