The Whole Package
By danielle
These days, the economy could use a band-aid. Or better yet, a full-fledged First Aid Kit! While Johnson & Johnson’s new First Aid Kit, designed by Harry Allen, may not be capable of healing the world, the new packaging has made an impact on the design industry. It was awarded the Best Packaging Award in I.D. magazine’s Annual Design Review for its convenient shape and simple yet internationally recognizable Red Cross logo and was on view at the I.D. Annual Design Review exhibit at Material ConneXion this summer. TONIGHT it will be the topic of conversation as Harry Allen (principal at Harry Allen Design), Chris Hacker (chief design officer at Johnson & Johnson) and I.D. editor-in-chief Jesse Ashlock come together to discuss the product, the material innovation and the business of design in general.
When: September 8, 2009 from 6:00-8:30PM
Where: Material ConneXion, 60 Madison Ave, NYC
