IDS 2010, Canada’s largest contemporary design event since 1998, is “more than just a show…it’s the total design experience.” In addition to introducing new products from over 300 international exhibitors, show organizers have set up an amazing day-long symposium called “Conversations in Design – A World Without Oil.” Headliners include: Mirko Zardini, Fritz Haeg, Tord Boontje & Enrico Bressan, Bruce Mau and many more. They are also all geared up to host one heck of a party tomorrow night on the show floor.

And like other international shows of its kind (think Milan Furniture Fair and ICFF), this year, they are also launching the Toronto International Design Festival (TIDF) – an annual citywide showplace of design, to coincide with IDS.  This five-day festival celebrates Toronto as a major design destination.

When: January 21-24, 2010

Where: Metro Toronto Convention Center, Toronto, Canada
