While the “official” change from McGraw Hill to Hanley Wood does not go into effect until January 2011, I spotted just about every single Hanley Wood editor that I knew around the Miami Convention Center during this past AIA. The new five-year agreement means that Hanley Wood Exhibitions will manage the annual show and Architect magazine will become the association’s official publication.  According to the publisher, “the magazine will maintain its editorial independence, but also will feature exclusive coverage of AIA programs and other initiatives.” It’s a big responsibility, but we know their up for the challenge.  Next year, the show moves to New Orleans and will be held from May 12-14, 2011.
