What We’re “Seeing”

By danielle

It seems as though everyone is receiving their copy of ARRAY this week.  When my fiance read the fall forecast, he teased me and said it sounded like I was looking into a crystal ball, “I see [insert trend here] in your future!”  While I may not be the “Miss Cleo” of the design industry, here are some product images to highlight the trends we’ve seen at some recent trade shows and events…

WOMAN IN THE NEWS:

The work of Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola can be found in just about every pub these days. Besides being a wife & mom, she designs products for Mutina, AXOR, B&B Italia, Kartell, Moroso...the list goes on and on.

PRACTICAL DESIGN:

Walter Knoll's Living Landscape, designed by EOOS and available at M2L. It's a modular seating unit that caters to different modes of communication and interaction. The integrated shelves are my favorite part!

Just a light touch of the hand turns the corner segments 90° and the chaise lounges 180°.

In addition, color, patterns and textures, like those found in Creations Metaphores new intros, mirror those found on the runway.
