Tonight the B&B Italia showroom, located in the A&D building at 150 East 58th Street, will be celebrating Italian design legend Antonio Citterio with a storewide display in honor of his iconic work.

The event is entitled Citterio:Takeover, no doubt an allusion to both the storewide effort to celebrate the man of the hour and to The New York Times’ reflection on the state of global design this past October: “[w]hen did Italian design take over the world?”  The article went on to declare Antonio Citterio one of the three most influential designers in Milan today, praising his refreshingly accessible modern style.

The festivities are tonight, December 15th, from 5-7.  Accompanying the Citterio display throughout the showroom is the unveiling of B&B Italia’s new holiday window featuring a wintery abstract art piece by Pascale Girardin.  Step inside the showroom itself to be treated to the musical stylings of DJ James Lucius Gray and special guest Mariella.  And be sure to compliment this feast for the eyes and ears with dessert courtesy of Maison du Chocolate.
