A Dose of Inspiration for Post-Grad Life

By Lauren Hill

The spring is slowly approaching (not quickly enough in my opinion) and with the change in season also comes the steady flow of college graduates.  With the challenges post-graduate life can bring (dwindling economy, moving back home, catching a ‘break’), navigating your way through the industry can be discouraging.  It would help to have a little guidance from someone who knows how to become successful, right?

Well this Thursday night, Interior Design magazine editor, Annie Block, will talk to big time designers Dror Benshetrit and Todd Bracher with Pratt Institute Professor of Industrial Design, Mark Goetz on the keys to success in the design world.  Students and alumni are invited to bring their portfolios for a review with the designers following the presentations.  The event will take place at the The Theater at the Museum of Arts & Design from 7pm-9pm.  General admission is $12 and $10 for members and students.  Purchase your ticket here or call 212.299.7740.

I would take these guys as a guiding mentor any day.  Can’t wait to hear about the path that led them to where they are now!
