For those design junkies that have had the good fortune to know Cindy Allen personally, last Tuesday was a very special day.  Friends and staff gathered at The National for a surprise celebration to honor the beloved EIC and her ten year anniversary at the magazine.  Spearheaded by David Rockwell, the party was a great chance to gather and pay homage to the inclusive, inspirational and playful world that Cindy has created through the pages of Interior Design.  Where other editors might create a competitive environment, Cindy is all about the community that she loves and nurtures in person and through the magazine.   The room was packed with well-wishers that look forward to seeing what she can cook up in the next decade!  Kudos and lots of love to you Cindy!!!!!!
