So much to see, so little time.  With over 2,800 home design exhibitors, how are the 35,000 attendees from across the world supposed to navigate the New York International Gift Fair? Well, there’s an App for that.

The NYIGF Wayfinder mobile application allows users to search for exhibitors or products by name, product line, product category or description.  You can find the company names and booth locations in real time with an improved keyword search. Attendees can use their phones to check on seminar schedules, special events, shuttle bus schedules and the floor plan. You can even create a walking map beforehand online!

As Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president says, “With this new mobile app, a wealth of time-saving information is now, literally, in the palm of your hand.”

The free application synchronizes with the NYIGF website and is available on the Android, iPhone and Blackberry beginning July 5 through iTunes, the Android Market, BlackBerry, and App World. If you’ll be at the gift show Saturday, August 13-August 18 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center/Piers 92 & 94, make sure to get your App downloaded soon because with so much design-forward home fashion and giftware to see, your phone is the new compass.

We know it will come in handy when we walk the aisles of Accent on Design to select our winner of the Blogger’s Choice Award.
