Interiors & Sources has announced its first ever “I Like Design” student competition in collaboration with Gresham, Smith & Partners – one of the top architecture and engineering firms in the country! For the competition, which is open to undergraduate and graduate interior design and architecture students, GS&P would like students to design a Community Health and Wellness Center in a building located in Nashville, Tennessee. The Center, which includes a Clinic and a Community Center, would function as a medical center where patients could receive treatment and other services as well as a wellness center where people will be offered educational and other opportunities. In December, 10 finalists will be chosen by Interiors & Sources based on how well they were able to solve the design challenge posed by GS&P.

Once the finalists have been selected they will have to use their social media skills to succeed! The 10 entries will be posted on Interiors & Sources‘ website at which point finalists will have to post the link to their entry on all of their individual profiles to get as many people as they can to vote for them. Each week, the finalist with the least amount of votes will be removed from the competition until the person with the most votes wins! The winner of the competition will be awarded a paid summer 2012 internship with GS&P at their headquarters in Nashville. The deadline for submissions is December 1 so get designing, students! Visit Interiors & Sources’ competition page to learn more about submission and program requirements.
