We’ve got some really fantastic news from M2L—they are now the key distributer for the Gebrüder T 1819 collection in the United States! The collection, fully licensed and authorized by the Thonet family in Germany, is now available in all three of M2L‘s showrooms (New York, Boston, & Washington, DC).

Established by Michael Thonet in 1819, the Gebrüder brand spans 150 years of revolutionary design and innovation, exercising strong influence on the development of iconic, modern furniture. The German company is most notable for inventing mass-produced steam-bent wood furniture, and the design of the famous Vienna coffee house chair. Throughout its history, The company also worked with important designers and architects connected to the Bauhaus like Mart Stam, Marcel Breuer, Mies van der Rohe, and Le Corbusier.

“I’m honored to be a part of the North American rebranding of this historical company,” says Michael Manes, founder of M2L. “It has an unparalleled design history and fits perfectly into our mission of presenting fresh, iconic, timeless, modern design to the architecture and design community.”
