Experience The Art of Scent

By kristin

Dive into the world of olfactory art at the Museum of Arts and Design. In the first major museum exhibition to recognize scent as an important medium of artistic expression, The Art of Scent 1889-2012 focuses on 12 fragrances that had a profound impact on the medium. From Aimé Guerlain’s Jicky (1889) to Daniela Andrier’s neo-brutalist fragrance Untitled (2010), each scent is experienced individually in a beautifully minimal installation designed by art-informed architects Diller, Scofidio + Renfro. On view until February 24, 2013.
