@MetropolisMag #GameChangers Announced at @AxorNYC

By guest

We were really excited to be at Axor NYC on February 7th for the launch of Metropolis magazine’s highly anticipated, annual “Game Changers” issue! The event, which drew close to a thousand designers and design enthusiasts to the Axor NYC showroom throughout the night, honored Metropolis‘ 2013 “Game Changers,” who were chosen for boundary-pushing and visionary, outside-the-box thinking. Honorees included legendary historian Vincent Scully in the History category; climate change activist and architect Edward Mazria for Advocacy; design patron Jamie Gray in the Patronage category; Sharon Davis of the Women’s Opportunity Center in Rwanda for outstanding Architecture; Dream:In, a daring initiative about social change for Research; and in the Planning category, the SOM Great Lakes Team, whose redevelopment projects are attracting new residents to vacant urban land and benefiting impoverished areas. The lovely and engaging Susan Szenasy, Editor-in-Chief of Metropolis, introduced the winners and gave out the coveted awards, which were designed by Tietz-Baccon.

What is a Game Changer?
