Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids (DIFFA) will once again bring together a talented group of designers to help in the fight against HIV/AIDS. This year, the 18th annual DINING BY DESIGN (DBD) event will be record-breaking, with participation expanding to the 30,000 square foot space at Pier 92 – co-located with the Architectural Digest Home Design Show at Pier 94. And like always, the two shows offer a double dose of design as one ticket gets attendees full access to both events.

Each year, DIFFA’s DBD transforms raw space into a magnificent showcase, with over-the-top dining environments in support of the cause. The stunning setting plays host to a public viewing, as well as an ever-popular cocktail party and gala dinner. This years exhibit will feature over 50 outstanding dining installations and centerpiece tables by Benjamin Moore & Cosentino designed by Tyler Wisler; Hickory Chair; Roche Bobois Paris; Ralph Lauren Home; Beacon Hill designed by Corey Damon Jenkins; Anthropologie; Kravet Inc. designed by Hunt Slonem; New York Design Center designed by Marks & Frantz; Arteriors Home; Calvin Klein Home; Echo Design; ESSIE by Robert Verdi; Horchow; M Moser; Moen; Rockwell Group; Spin Ceramics designed by Kitty Hawks; Stacy Garcia New York; Hermès of Paris; and many more. There will also be tables from leading New York City design schools.

Johanna Osburn, executive director at DIFFA, remarks, “We are excited that DINING BY DESIGN is back and bigger than ever this year. Whether it is our longtime DIFFA benefactors or designers and brands that are joining us for the first time, the demand to participate has been off the charts. Beyond making this year’s DBD one for the books, we hope that this uptick in support is an indicator of increased awareness. HIV/AIDS is still a critical issue, which affects the lives of many. It is our goal to convey that message while offering a thought-provoking and memorable design experience that helps raise much needed funds.”
