NYCxDESIGN isn’t complete with ICFF. Now under the leadership of Emerald Expositions, the 27th International Contemporary Furniture Fair will be held from May 16 to 19 at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

ICFF 2015 will be a hotspot for the newest trends in contemporary furniture, lighting, seating, carpet and outdoor furniture, materials and the latest topics in modern design, decoration and contemporary art.

The four-day fair covers 165,000 square feet of show-floor and features more than 700 exhibitors from all around the world. Handcrafted objects from Grain, furniture from Boca do Lobo, the futuristic storage for vinyl record collectors from Wax Rax, amazing lighting sculptures from Lasvit, Italian furniture from Francesco della Femina, bath fixtures from Duravit are just a few of the products on our radar. We can’t wait to see which exhibitors are selected for the annual ICFF Editors Awards.

In terms of programming, ICFF Talks, the show’s educational series, brings together a stellar cast covering a range of current topics. ICFF Studio, a partnership between the Fair and Bernhardt Design, is a juried platform for young designers to showcase prototypes to manufacturers. The Studio has helped to launch the careers of a number of today’s stars.

New major additions to the Fair in 2015 include HO.MI The Italian Lifestyle Event, presenting some 150 leading and emerging luxury furniture, lighting and interior accessories providers from Italy, and Luxe. interiors + design, the Luxury Interiors showcase, featuring the leading brands in the high end interiors space.

The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center of New York City, 11th Avenue at 38th Street can be easily reached by car or by subway, taking the A/C/E trains to Penn Station.

While it is hard to find a good spot to eat near the Convention Center, Hell’s Kitchen is very close. The neighborhood offers a diverse collection of restaurants. Totto Ramen, one of the best Ramen restaurant in New York City, is always worth the trip.
