The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York, NY – This November, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center opened its many glass doors for its annual Boutique Design New York trade fair (BDNY). Now in its seventh year of success, over 7,000 interior designers, architects, purchasing executives and hospitality owners enjoyed the gusto and energy of the trade fair which boasted a focused selection of statement-making design products for hotels, restaurants, spas and casinos. The stunning visual spaces created by the exhibitors within the main arena staged a stimulating conversation between manufacturers and industry visionaries.
Each space solicited contemplation of an array of design elements, coming together effortlessly in a remarkable collaboration between major design firms and exhibiting products. Through an immense application of colors in fabrics coupled with an intelligent use of lighting, product sponsors, and designers conjured an airy grace. A special theme that we particularly enjoyed was the shimmery gold hues as displayed in a variety of products on display in the booths. Delightful variations of gold were peppered across the show floor and took shape in mirrors, sconces, stylish faucets, and more. We’ve rounded up a few of our favorite glimmering, gilded design pieces.
